TenCate Australia are also suppliers of Track Mat, an oil absorbent spunbond polyester/polypropylene blend matting, for use at rail yards or stations to absorb any oil or diesel spills from train engines. Track Mat is supplied with an aluminium backing to prevent oil and contaminated water entering the water course through the ballast.
Track Mat is designed and constructed to have excellent wicking properties for oil and diesel and will hold over 600% of its own weight in oil and diesel. Track Mat is resistant to UV rays, mildew and rotting.
It is advisable to use an experienced installer when laying Track Mat. It is supplied to fit track widths and the rolls length is typically 50 metres.
